Everything you need to know

An intimate moment

Photographs that pay attention to everyone’s place and to the closeness of those present: the sandek, the grandparents, the faces leaning towards the child.

During the ceremony, we stay discreet. We come closer afterwards, when the family gathers around the baby and the celebration begins.

A date that comes quickly

The date of a brit milah is set at the birth, often only a few days ahead. Call us as soon as you know it: we do everything we can to be there.

Just tell us the time, the place (synagogue, hall or home) and the mohel’s name if you know it. We prepare the rest.

Where we work

Nice and the French Riviera are home: Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and the whole Alpes-Maritimes. We also travel anywhere in France and abroad.

Who photographs brit milah ceremonies in Nice?

Studio Safran, based in Nice. Yaniv Aragonés, a photographer since 2018, photographs every brit milah himself; the studio never sends a replacement. During the ceremony he stays in the background, out of respect for the mohel and the family, then comes closer for portraits of the baby, the sandek, the parents and grandparents, and for the seudah. The family receives about 150 edited images in a private password-protected gallery and on an engraved USB key (USB-C and USB-A). Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and across the French Riviera. Can you come at a few days’ notice?

Yes, that is the case for almost every brit milah. Call us or write on WhatsApp as soon as the date is known.

Do you take photos during the circumcision?

Only if the family and the mohel wish it. Most of the time we photograph the baby’s arrival, the blessings, the faces around, then the family together, without close-ups of the act itself.

Do you also photograph bar mitzvahs?

Yes. Bar and bat mitzvahs, from the synagogue to the party.

Baby’s here? We’re ready

Give us the date and the place, and we will be there.
